CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

50%

TIP: When CPR is being administered on a victim, they are already 'dead' - the rescuer can do no harm by compressing on their chest and administering breaths.

The technique involves chest compressions and breaths to manually administer the functions normally performed by the heart and lungs.

Victims that require CPR are dead and unresponsive - they will not be breathing or they will have very slow, labored and irregular breathing that is not normal (agonal breathing).
