AED Acquirers: Need to Retrieve the AED

92%

IMPORTANT! Once purchased, the AED needs to be available, retrieved and used - at any and all times that the AED may be needed.

Tap their shoulder and shout "Are you OK?" If the victim does not respond activate your EMS and emergency response plan and go get or assign someone to get the AED.

TIPS:
9 1 1 or your designated emergency number should be called immediately.

For any medical emergency where the victim is conscious, the AED should still be retrieved and available, in the event that it may be needed later - if the victim goes unconscious.
